Anyone involved or about to be involved in drilling and/or well control operations with Surface or Subsea BOP stack prior to them attending a Well Control course for the first time. Floorman, Derrickman, future AD etc.

IWCF - International Well Control Forum
An oil industry Membership Organisation whose primary purpose is to develop and administer well control certification programmes for personnel employed in oil well Drilling, Workover and Well Intervention operations.
Duration
4 days plus IWCF examination on 5th day
Who will benefit?
Anyone involved in drilling and/or well control operations in a non-supervisory position with Surface BOP stack.
Recommended admission level – All positions from Floorman to Driller inclusive.
Course Content
Theoretical and practical well control for Surface BOP installations at Driller level.
Course Objective
Candidates will gain a comprehensive knowledge of well control theory and master the practical skills required to apply this knowledge to most well control situations. They will be prepared for the International Well Control Forum (IWCF) test program.
Certification
Candidates must demonstrate their knowledge and practical capability by achieving a minimum score of 70% in each section of the IWCF test program. The test program comprises of a practical skills test, a written test on equipment knowledge and a written test on principles and procedures.
Successful candidates will receive an IWCF certificate that is valid for two years from the date of successful completion of the program.
