IWCF WELL CONTROL VIRTUAL CLASSROOM TRAINING
Due to the current situation with COVID-19 and governmental restrictions, we are prevented from delivering physical courses in an effort to combat the Coronavirus. For now all in-person courses for the next following weeks are cancelled and we are continually monitoring the situation.
Malaga Drilling School has been granted accreditation to deliver IWCF Well Control virtual classroom training with live instruction. This remote instruction is live and instructor-led, and has been designed to maintain the same quality and integrity for which Malaga Drilling School and IWCF is known, offering an interactive learning environment and real-time quality monitoring throughout the course. This remote learning option is a temporary solution; normal, physical classes will resume as the only delivery option for Well Control once normal conditions return, when the COVID-19 situation eases.
Our digital platform facilitates Instructor-led teaching with live presentations, interactive breakout sessions on whiteboards, virtual team activities, and online assessments and quizzes, all from the safety & comfort of your own work-space. All candidates will be fully supported by the team at Malaga Drilling School for any questions or queries throughout the training.
Our virtual training courses will be run from Mondays to Thursdays (half day) each week, 8 hours a day.
Virtual classroom requires minimal IT requirements – a laptop / desktop / tablet with speakers and microphone or headset (recommended). A webcam, and an internet connection (with 10Mbps up/down-load speeds). Note that smartphones are not permitted.
Operative system: Windows 7, 8 or 10. Mac OS X 10.10 or above.
Web browser: Chrome (recommended), Microsoft Edge or Safari.
On completion of the virtual training, candidates will receive an IWCF certificate of attendance. They must complete both written assessments, together with simulator practice and assessment at an accredited IWCF centre once social distancing measures are lifted. There will be a maximum time limit of 90 days to complete assessments following training however this will be monitored in line with government advice regarding travel.
