About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HSE Oil and Gas Drilling Instructor to join our team at MDS Academy. In this role, you will deliver high-quality Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) training focused on oil and gas drilling operations, with particular emphasis on land rigs. You will be responsible for training personnel in industry-recognised HSE standards, including H₂S awareness, Rig Pass (IADC), and fundamental drilling safety practices.
You will work closely with a team of industry professionals to support both face-to-face and virtual training delivery, ensuring candidates develop strong safety awareness, regulatory compliance, and practical understanding of safe drilling operations.
Requirements
Minimum 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas drilling industry, with strong exposure to land rig operations (required).
Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in HSE practices within drilling environments (required).
Strong knowledge and instructional capability in H₂S safety, IADC Rig Pass, and general drilling safety procedures (highly valuable).
Demonstrated experience as an HSE instructor, drilling instructor, or technical trainer in oil and gas environments (required).
Solid understanding of basic drilling operations, hazards, risk assessment, and mitigation measures on land rigs (required).
Strong ability to teach, assess, and evaluate technical and safety knowledge of professional candidates (required).
Fully fluent in English (required).
Fluency in Turkish or other additional languages (highly valuable).
