(commercially known as MDS Academy ), a well control and drilling training provider based in Torremolinos,Málaga, Spain, recognizes its responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of its activities and is committed to continual improvement of its environmental performance. Our Commitment MDS Academy is committed to conducting its training operations in an environmentally responsible manner, preventing pollution, using resources efficiently and complying with all applicable Spanish and European Union environmental legislation and regulations. Reducing Travel Through Virtual Training A significant share of MDS Academy's courses are delivered virtually , allowing candidates around the world to train and certify without international travel. Every virtual seat directly avoids the flights, ground transport and hotel stays associated with a face-to-face course, substantially reducing the carbon footprint per candidate trained. We actively promote virtual delivery wherever the accreditation body and course format allow it. Digital First — Less Paper Our operations are digital by design: • Electronic certificates (e-certs) and electronic score sheets are issued instead of printed ones. • Bookings, joining instructions, invoices and candidate onboarding are handled through our online booking system and email, eliminating routine printed paperwork. • Course materials are provided in digital format wherever the accreditation standards permit. Energy Efficiency at Our Málaga Campus At our training campus in Torremolinos(Málaga) we work to reduce energy consumption through responsible use of lighting, heating and air-conditioning, the progressive adoption of energy-efficient equipment and simulators, and switching off equipment when not in use. Waste Management and Recycling We aim to reduce, reuse and recycle. Waste generated at our campus is separated and disposed of through the appropriate municipal recycling channels, and we minimize single-use consumables in classrooms and common areas. Continual Improvement We review our environmental practices periodically, set ourselves realistic improvement objectives — such as increasing the proportion of virtual training delivered and further reducing paper and energy consumption — and encourage our staff, instructors and candidates to act responsibly towards the environment.
